My name is Panya Henry, and I am a licensed Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, as well as a licensed Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner, with 13 years of experience in healthcare. I also bring 23 years of experience as an educator, driven by a deep passion for helping others—particularly in the areas of mental health care, diagnosis, treatment, and management.
Beyond my professional life, I’m an ardent cat lover who enjoys cooking, baking, and especially sharing the meals I prepare with others. Recently, I’ve developed a love for gardening, which has deepened my connection to nature. Above all, I’m grateful for each day I have the opportunity to serve others and embrace life with gratitude.

My Career/Education: 

My journey in healthcare and education began with a B.A. in Psychology, where I provided counseling to abused and neglected teenagers. Inspired by a passion for helping others, I went on to earn a Master’s in Education and embraced a fulfilling career teaching Mathematics and Science to middle school students.
While teaching, I felt a deeper calling to make an impact in healthcare and so, I enrolled in nursing school, earning my second bachelor’s degree—this time in Nursing. I eventually transitioned from education to healthcare, leaving the School District of Philadelphia to work at Penn Medicine, where I served for ten years.
I discovered my true calling when I became a nurse, but I knew my journey could not end there. Driven to expand my role and deepen my impact, I pursued a Master’s in Nursing and became certified through the AANP as an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner. Furthermore, to better support individuals facing mental health challenges and to respond to the growing mental health crisis; I later obtained my certification through the ANCC as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
